7 Very Feminine Spots for a Tattoo ...

When a woman considers getting a tattoo, she often considers where would be some very feminine spots for a tattoo on her body. Since I have been thinking about this forever and ever as I bounce back and forth between wanting a tattoo and not wanting one, I have come up with some of the most feminine spots for a tattoo. The decision to get a tattoo is an enormous one. You want to be absolutely certain not only about what your tattoo is but also the location on your body where you choose to have it placed.

1. The Shoulder

A shoulder is another choice that women typically choose for a tattoo placement.

They sometimes do it on the back of their shoulder or even on the top of the shoulder and

trailing downward. This tattoo would most likely not be as painful as some of the other

locations mentioned, yet it is still a very feminine location. This is especially true if the

placement is on top of the shoulder and trailing downward.

2. The Foot

The foot is a very popular spot for a woman to choose to get a tattoo. It is often chosen because

it is one of the most feminine spots for a tattoo. After all, you don’t see very many men

choosing that spot for their location, do you? Women often have floral designs tattooed there or verses of some sort. A tattoo placed here looks really nice in a pair of heels.

3. The Inner Wrist

Another often chosen placement for a lady's tattoo is the inner wrist. I really like this placement.

It is such a delicate area of the body and can remain hidden until her arm is turned.

It is almost like it is her own little secret. This makes it a very feminine spot for

a woman to get a tattoo.

4. The Back

Many women choose to have a tattoo placed on their back. They can go in many different

directions with this choice. Some choose a low placement and some go higher or for a

fuller length of tattoo. These are very pretty when a woman wears a bikini in the summertime

or in other summer clothing. Many different designs work well here, too. 

5. Down The Side of The Ribcage

This is another lovely location for a woman to get a tattoo, but this choice could be a bit problematic. If a woman gains a lot of weight, it could affect this tattoo. It could also be affected in a pregnancy when a woman’s breast size typically changes. But, with special care, this could be a very good choice. It is also very feminine in choice.

6. The Back of The Neck

The back of the neck is a pretty location for a woman to get a tattoo. Like the location

of the inner wrist, this one can easily be hidden and remain a secret. She can wear her

hair down to cover it or up to show it off. That makes this a very versatile choice. Obviously,

the choices for a tattoo here must be small in nature.

7. The Hand

This is a choice recently gaining popularity for a woman to be tattooed. For a long time,

hand tattoos on a woman were considered somewhat taboo. But as tattoos are slowly

becoming more acceptable, so is their visibility. This is a pretty spot for a woman to choose and

one she will get to enjoy often because it is so easily in her line of sight. One thing to consider

is that some public places of work do still have a problem with tattoos and it could be a

factor in gaining employment.

7 most painful places to get a tattoo ...

Tattoos... they are painful and permanent and still, everyone seems to want one. I myself have two and plan to get at least three more. But, since I went and got one in a very painful place with absolutely no warning, I thought I would look up the most painful places to get a tattoo so I could avoid making the same mistake twice...

1. Spine

Ouch and more ouch! Your spine is made up of 26 bones, 24 of them go from your neck to the

base of your bum and each tattoo that you get along them will hurt. The spine is the most painful place to get a tattoo. I say just move a little to the left or right and just avoid all of the pain. 

2. Hip

This is where I got my second tattoo and that's probably the reason that I've waited so long to

get this next one. The closer you are to touching any bone in your hip, the more pain you're

going to be in. But if you think the end result is worth it then go for it!

3. Elbow

Your elbow is basically skin and bone. There isn't really any cushion to keep that vibrating feeling

of the needle away from your bone and so, I'm going to have to say unless you REALLY

want your elbows tattooed, go for another spot.

4. Ankle

Avoid your ankle bone at all costs! Everyone that I speak to that has a tattoo on their ankle

told me to avoid that bone no matter what. Go around it, go on top of it or below it but never,

ever get tattooed right on the bone of your ankle.

5. Knee

The knees, just like the elbows are all skin and bone with no cushion. If you want a leg tattoo

that isn't going to hurt that badly go for the thigh where you have a little bit more fat and tissue

and your bone is a little further from the surface.

6. Foot

Although this isn't the most fun place to get a tattoo as long as you avoid toes and the bones

on top of your feet you'll be alright. Just make sure to go on the side of your foot near

your heel or by your arch.

7. Clavicle

The most easily broken bone in the body is also one of the most painful places to get a tattoo.

The closer you get to the two bones on either side of your neck, the more pain you're likely to be in.

Alright ladies, this is the list of the most painful places to get a tattoo. Just remember that the closer you get to bone with no fat, the more pain you'll be in. So go for a nice forearm or thigh! And remember a tattoo is pretty permanent unless you want to spend a fortune getting it removed so be sure of what you want and where you want it! Ask Yourself Before Getting a Tattoo ...

A tattoo can be a wonderful decoration, a material form of some of your most precious memories or a stupid childish decision you beat yourself up about every day. It all depends on how much time, energy and rational thinking you’ve invested in the whole process. Well, at least that’s how I see it. Now, since I’m a Libra, a.k.a the one who thinks three times before doing anything, I believe any action that will affect your later life deserves to be thought through. And here are some questions I felt the need to ask myself and think you should too:

1. Is this the ideal place for it?

Once you get it done, there’s no turning back, so think about the area of your skin you want to cover in ink. Try getting a henna tattoo first and see how it feels having that image on that particular place. If you still like it, go for it. I, for example, wanted to get a tattoo very much but none of the possible body parts seemed like the one I’d want to get permanently inked. I was contemplating it for months, did numerous henna tattoos and although each and every one of them looked cool, I somehow knew I wouldn’t feel comfortable with the real deal. 2. Will I like it in 5 to 10 years?

Colors fade over the years, lines kind of stretch too and, as our bodies change, so does everything on them, including the tattoos. So, before you finally schedule your inking, do try to imagine that same tattoo ten or fifteen years from now. Sure, your belly looks perfect now, but what’s going to happen when you decide to have kids? Just something to think about…

3. Did I choose the right image?

Are you about to do a popular tribal symbol or something that has a deeper meaning for you? That’s really something you want to think long and hard about, because I’ve met a lot of people who got a tattoo just because it “looks cool” and deeply regretted it later. It's better to get something meaningful, so just be sure before making it permanent.

4. Did I choose the best tattoo artist?

The tattoo artist is the most important person in the whole story because he’s supposed to turn your idea into a reality. That, of course, means you won’t walk into the first tattoo studio you see, but you'll instead research a little bit and check out more than just one man and his works. If you already have a finished image, the process is much easier because all you’ll have to do is find somebody that can copy that onto your skin exactly the way you want it. However, if the image you want to see on yourself is nothing more than a blurry collection of ideas, you’ll definitely need somebody who’s ready to listen, pitch in and help turn those ideas into a visible, tangible image you’ll want to have on your body forever and ever.

5. Will it interfere with my career/job opportunities?

Be careful of where you place those tattoos because they might prove to be a bad career move. This goes for both guys and girls – we all know employers are not very keen to take on employees whose appearance may seem too unprofessional for the corporate world. A tattoo is your private little decoration anyway, so there is no need to put it on your face or anywhere where the chances of “hiding” it are very slim.

6. What if I don’t like it?

What are you going to do if you decide you don’t like your tattoo? It’s not a skirt you can return and get your money back so there are only two possible scenarios: you’ll either get one of those special, expensive cover-up foundations or go and get it removed. 7. Am I doing it for myself or somebody else?

Can I be brutally honest? Don’t be silly enough to actually tattoo your boyfriend’s or husband’s name! You never know what the future holds and if you don’t believe me, take a look at celebrities. Those people are beautiful, rich and 90% of our normal, everyday problems don’t exist in their lives. And yet, they fight, cheat, break up or get divorced. Get a tattoo of something that has more to do with you – your wedding date, for example isn’t such a bad idea because that’s something you’ll always find worthy of remembering. Your tattoo must be entirely your decision and must involve something you are very passionate about. Yes, I love my fiancé too, but I wouldn't willingly brand myself with his name. I’m not his property and he is not mine.

I, for example, still feel the need to get a tattoo sometimes, and every time that happens I keep going through this list of questions trying to be fair and give honest answers. That still doesn’t mean I won’t get a tattoo at all, I’m just waiting until my list of answers has more pros than cons. Do you think that’s the right way to approach this matter?
